Vines & Pines 4-26-15

Hopefully your teams have avoided the injury bug that took place this week. If they did be sure to catch the waiver wire adds articles over the next two days. Offense kept flowing this week, as there were 163 home runs hit in the last 7 days, about 23 a day. Let’s us hope they keep pumping out the fantasy points for us. Mark Teixeira had the week in fantasy scoring out of all the hitters, while Danny Salazar and King Felix dominated in pitching.

Danny ” I Told You To Hang Onto Him” Salazar

He was drafted, dropped, picked-up, and dropped again by teams before finally making his start this season. He has rung up 21 hitters in two starts. Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer, and Salazar need a nickname, they are up top in the strikeout percentage category this season. If for some reason he is still sitting out as a free agent, don’t read the rest of this article and go pick him up.

Run Billy Run

Billy Hamilton has 12 stolen bases already on the season, and he is headed for another 60 steal year. I will have to double check on this, but 8 may be against Jon Lester.

Who Said I Have Slow Starts?

Mark Teixeira has been known for slumping out of the gates, and usually I benched him until about the third week in May. This year he has come out slugging with eight home runs on the year, and five came in the last week. He is available in a lot of leagues, go scoop him up.

What’s Wrong With Stanton? Absolutely Nothing.

It took some time for Giancarlo Stanton to get his first home run on the board, but just like that he has five in nine games.

Partying Like It’s 1999

The 41 year old, Bartolo Colon, is off to a hot start in 2015. He is 4-0 with a 2.77 ERA, and has at least five strikeouts in each start. Here he is showing off the wheels.
