Vines And Pines 6-7-15

June is really when things heat up in the fantasy world. Fantasy owners give up on players not performing, and some give up all together. As always we are here for the long run, and shout out to all the owners who log in everyday. Clayton Kershaw looks to be back to his usual stuff, and Freddie Freeman is paying off for owners who believed in him, despite the horrible lineup around him.

Welcome Back Mr. Kershaw, We’ve Been Expecting You

Kershaw is coming off a couple of hot starts, allowing just two earned over the last two, and one start was in Colorado. He has hit double-digit strikeouts in three of his last five starts. He now has a 3.36 ERA, and an 11.3 K/9. It has been a slow start for the Cy Young winner, but it seems we are back on pace for a top fantasy pitcher season. If he keeps throwing this pitch like this, watch out.

The Machine

Whoa! Albert Pujols is up to 15 home runs this season, and 7 have come in the last several days. He is on pace for 40+ homers now, which he hasn’t done since 2010. It is good to see Pujols back mashing baseball, and Yankee Stadium does help out from time to time.

Joey Gallo Week

2015 has been filled with prospects from, Kris Bryant, Noah Syndergaard, and Joc Pederson all making stamps on fantasy baseball this season. With Adrian Beltre sitting for a month, highly touted prospect Joey Gallo is making his debut. He had a monster debut, with a three hit game, which included a home run. He followed up that game with a home run as well. He is a guy who was snagged quick off the free agency.

DL Spot Frees Up Around Fantasy Baseball

Welcome back Yasiel Puig, I have personally missed you and your all around fantasy game. He missed 38 games this season, and now the Dodgers will add him into a lineup that features Pederson and Gonzalez smashing the ball, watch out baseball.
