If you are a Bryce Harper owner, you probably enjoyed an easy win this week. Over the last seven days it has been a chance for the older fantasy veterans to shine. Torii Hunter, Russell Martin, Marlon Byrd, and Adam Lind. A dynasty league favorite, Kris Bryant, got the first home run out of the way this week. Just a quick waiver wire shoutout, go get Adam Lind!
Bryce Harper Single-Handedly Wins Fantasy Matchup
Harper had an unreal week, and really just over a span of three games. He hit .391 with six home runs, and 12 RBI. His total is now up to 11 on the season, and for all of those who may have reached a few spots to get him, well done.
Sunday Fun-Day
Sunday is always crucial when it comes down to those head-to-head days, and it is always nice when you get a performance like Michael Pineda’s. He struck out 16 Orioles over seven innings, allowing just one earned in the win. That is a monster Sunday performance!
Big Time Timmy Jim
Tim Lincecum is back in fantasy relevance, and has arguably been the best pitcher for the Giants. He is 3-2 with a 2.00 ERA, and a 7 K/9. He allowed zero earned runs in two starts this week, with 12 strikeouts.
The First Time Is Always The Hardest
Kris Bryant finally got that first big league home run out of the way, and it could lead for many more. I am banking on this one opening up the flood gates, and I am sure many of use are, since we hyped him up so highly in draft season.
Dude Why Is Torii Hunter Still On Your Team?
Hunter hit .406 this week, with three homers, and 10 RBI. He is now hitting .287 with five homers, and 19 RBI on the season. I am sitting with a lot of shares of Jose Bautista, and it is tough to see Torii Hunter with better numbers. Anyone want to trade?
