Offenses ran wild this week in fantasy baseball. Adrian Gonzalez had a five homer week last week, and Nelson Cruz has goes one up this week with six. There were countless players around the league two plus home runs this week, Josh Donaldson, Adam Jones, Bryce Harper, and Alex Rodriguez to name a few. That doesn't mean pitching was down, Jacob DeGrom, Max Scherzer, and Chris Sale all had outstanding two start weeks.
Welcome To Toronto Josh Donaldson
Before the baseball draft season, many experts had Josh Donaldson ranked fairly high due to the move to Toronto. He is enjoying Rogers Centre so far, hitting .440 with three home runs. It is too early to speculate, but he is off to a great start, gearing towards finishing as one of the top fantasy third baseman.
Is Chris Sale Back? You Betcha
Chris Sale owners had to wait about two weeks for his first start, and he was worth the wait. He won both starts against Minnesota and Detroit, while striking out fourteen, and allowing just three earned runs.
Kris Bryant Is Here!
You stashed, over-drafted, and stalked the waiver wire for Kris Bryant over the last two months, your time is finally here. Unfortunately fantasy leagues do not count first big league hits for extra points, and if they do I want in, it sounds like an awesome league. Just a modest mention here about baseball's next phenom, I would feel left out if I didn't mention anything.
Yoenis Cespedes With A Sunday Fantasy Push
Sunday is usually the last day of your weekly matchups, and some of you can thank Yoenis Cespedes for a monster day to salvage your week. He went yard twice, and one was a grand slam. He totaled six RBI, as the Tigers routed the White Sox.
Fantasy King Of The Week: Nelson Cruz
As I am typing this, Nelson Cruz just went yard again, I am not kidding. He is up to eight home runs this season. For those who said Seattle would hurt his power numbers, it is logical thinking, but how dare you. Nelson Cruz has more home runs than six teams so far this season. Enjoy the early power surge.
