Riding the Waive: 9-15-15

Pitchers:

J.A. Happ – SP – Pirates – ESPN: 55% – Y! 70%

J.A. Happ has been flawless in Pittsburgh, as he has won five of his seven starts in the new uniform. He has also hit 6+ strikeouts in those starts. Happ was serviceable early in the season, and has regained that form now. He is moderately owned on both sites, but a guy to go out and grab for the last few weeks of the season.

Logan Verrett – SP – Mets – ESPN: 13% – Y! 30%

With Matt Harvey heading to his jail cell, aka the bullpen, Logan Verrett will step in for a start or two for the rest of the season. He has been a bullpen guy for the season, but in his two starts, he has allowed two earned runs, and racked up 11 strikeouts. The Mets have a cupcake schedule for the rest of the way, making their targets awesome for streaming.

Hitters

Didi Gregorius – SS – Yankees – ESPN: 36% – Y! 27%

Didi Gregorius continues to tack up his share of runs and RBI. He has 107 combined on the season, which is a lot more than I expected. He is hitting .311 in the second half, and has upped his OBP by about 50 points. If you are lacking at shortstop, it is time to ride the hot hand.

Aaron Hicks – OF – Twins – ESPN: 12% – Y! 37%

Aaron Hicks is locked into the leadoff role, even if he does not have the most ideal OBP for a leadoff man. He does his damage against left-handed pitching, with a .411 wOBA on the season. He is a good source of runs, and SB at times. With things thinning down the stretch, he is a plug and play outfielder.

Angel Pagan – OF – Giants – ESPN: 14% – Y! 45%

The Giants have hit a rut here, but not Angel Pagan, hitting .333 in the month of September. He is another leadoff man to target, who can tack on some steals once and a while. Another guy hitting well in the midst of playoff runs.
