Nice article on the White Sox and Guillen's desire to have a less HR-centric team. Problem is I just don't see it working. IMO the team has gotten a lot worse on offense and I think they will finsh 3rd.

Fantasy-wise this is important
Guillen, who promises the Sox will be the American League's most aggressive team on the bases, makes no apologies for the makeover and is ready to accept blame if it fizzles. This is his preferred brand of baseball. What he inherited last season was a team preferred by his predecessors.

Posednik goes .275 and 85 SBs....imagine that team running until the cows come home...imo, Iguchi's stock has just risen as well....

Rowand also...people thought his SB's might go down.....now the real question.....where the heck in the order is everyone batting?

I seriously, will be following this situation closely.

I'd like to see this lineup:

Tadahito Iguchi 2B
Scott Podsednik CF
Paul Konerko 1B
Frank Thomas DH
Jermaine Dye RF
A.J. Pierzynski C
Aaron Rowland RF
Joe Crede 3B
Jose Uribe SS

I think the whole key for them is health because they don't have alot of depth. If they lose a couple of big guys like they did last season then they won't do any better this season. Big Hurt has got to help them this season.

Overall, I don't see them catching the Twinkies in the division.

I think this would work a lot better:
CF Scott Podsednik
RF Aaron Rowand
DH Frank Thomas
1B Paul Konerko
RF Jermaine Dye
3B Joe Crede
C AJ Pierzynski
SS Juan Uribe
2B Tadahito Iguchi

Kinda odd that the White Sox are playing small ball considering they have one of the most power-hitter friendly ballparks in baseball.

Ozzie was part of the Marlins team that one, so hes trying to build a clone, Pierre, Castillo - pods - Iguchi

couple boppers Cabrera, Lee , Konerko - Dye

now they are not as good as the Marlins, but hey trying to hit homers all of the time didnt work & they got pitching, so what the hell

Twins are cream of the crop tho

You can't bat Iguchi leadoff.
Its going to take time for him to adjust to the league. Let him bat near the bottom to take some of the pressure off.

Pods will lead off ...

and this news is a huge plus for Pods owners.

Huge

Huge

Thanks Pogo ;-D
