From most things I've read the Tigers have this guy pencilled in as the 7th or 8th outfielder. If that isn't a slap in the face I don't know what is. If you don't already know these are the AAA numbers he put up last year in 64 games and 234 AB:

24 HR (one dinger every 9.75 at bats), 59 RBI, .329 AVG, .410 OBP, .735 SLG.

And when the Tigers called him up for 61 games (165 AB) his power display was very impressive, with an OBP (.326) that wasn't good but could very easily improve.

Point is, I want to draft Thames but if the Tigers aren't giving him any playing time/respect, I can't do that.

he seems to be a AAAA player. good enough to do well at AAA, but not quite good enough to hold down a spot in the majors. He's a marginal talent at best and has little chance of getting full time AB's. Unless you are in a really, really deep AL only league he shouldnt be on your radar.

Thames would need to see three injuries at the corner outfield spots to get any playing time. Don't bother with him.
