Deja vu. I was pretty sure people were saying the same thing last year when the Yankees added A-Rod and Sheffield. Luckily there are very few prominent hitting free agents next season so we won't have to do this again next year.

The mid 70's Reds are the best in my lifetime and would be better than the yankees with Beltran imho B-)


Don't forget about the late 90's Indians either. Absolutely loaded with great bats and several excellent defenders. That those teams never won a WS is amazing.

Correct (as usual) El Gaupo (and I also remember that name from "Los Tres Amigos"). The Big Red Machine llineup of the mid 70s was freakin STACKED top to bottom...
