It's good this story quotes Edgar; it's harder to doubt. Man, there's been a lot of near-done deals this past week. :-b

Yeah tell me about it. Every time I hear about these near-done deals I get a flashback to last year's fiasco :-o

On ESPN Radio they are saying Renteria was accepting STL's offer but because BOS's offer was higher the union stepped in and muscled him. That is crazy.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Well if that is the case then I agree, that's wrong. Even though he ended up on the Sox, that shouldn't have been the way.

Yup, thanks to Kris Benson.

I like this move. Hell, it's not my money, and him hitting behind Damon, Bellhorn, Manny and Ortiz will be very pretty.

Now, the question is, do we trade Hanley for a Pedro fill in?

Could Hanley be moved to 2nd base? From what I've heard, he's a damn good prospect. 2nd isn't THAT much different from SS. If we do trade him, I'd expect he'd be in a deal for AJ Burnett. There's no way that Oakland would want him.

Well, if he could be moved to second, he could play second for Oakland...

What I'm saying is that IF he could move to 2nd, we should keep him, and bring him up next year. If he can't, then we should trade him.
