With Boras as his agent, I could see Millwood signing a one-year make-good contract with a low salary and plenty of incentives to set him up for a big contract next year. Based on Mazzone's success, I can see them trying to give Atlanta a good deal to set him up for 2006.

As the Braves appear to be OK with rotating players on a yearly basis, I think they'd do it as Millwood, if healthy, is much better than Byrd. These would be some of the reasons I could see them taking Brown off the Yankees hands if he was cheap in lieu of Millwood or Byrd.
