Kearns or Mench to KC?

I would love to see Kearns in KC, but I've also heard the Red's are asking way too much for it to become a reality. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Mench in Royal Blue either...they need somebody in that pathetic lineup.

On anther note, has anyone heard about the Red's trying to move Kearns to 3B?

Am I missing something? I thought this kind of thing was tampering in MLB. Haven't GMs gotten in trouble for mentioning players under contract with other teams?

I remember one comment from King George last year about the Yankees wanting A-Rod that got explained away because he was essentially saying that anyone would be stupid not to want him on their team. How can anyone say that about these two guys with a straight face? (Not to say that they're not decent players, but I wouldn't want to build a franchise around them.)

Don't know if it's tampering, but I could picture that ...

I don't see the Rangers trading Mench to KC. The Rangers turned down a deal with Baltimore that would send Matt Riley to the O's for Mench. Matt Riley is better than anything KC has except Grienke, and we all know KC is not going to let him go.
