Whither Giambi?

I'm not sure if I agree with you guys, I think Giambi will be dirt cheap next year. I am looking to nab him as a value pick if he drops far enough, the upside outweighs the uncertainty and riskiness involved with taking him.

He won't be cheap as you believe -- because he's a Yankee and a loaded lineup.

He's hit under .250 over the past 2 seasons with increased K-rate.

I'll let someone else overpay.

I agree. I'll take him late but someone will pay much earlier for the name. :-?

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

O.K. I didn't know if there was any other reason why you thought that way. ;-D

Well the thing that got me and my brother talking (and this may sound a little stupid) is that Giambi is not shaving regularly. :-D

I'm sure the Yankees would look into trading him.....if anyone were interested in taking on his salary. I don't see it happening. :-[

I;d take him in the 8th or so. There are PLENTY of options at 1st and unless you really have a hunch I'd go with a safer bet.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
