Don't forget about the Historical fantasy draft...

I am sorry guys I didn't mean not including players before 1950. I was just using an example of record keeping before 1950. Just that the Negro league players will be extremly unreliable. No doubt it is a shame but thier are a lot of players from that league that we havn't heard of with pretty good stats and thus would get drafted over other great players even though we would have to question those stats. I want the stars from the Negro leagues to be included but the Avg players with good years scare me.

I've done some research on the Negro League players. At this point I don't see how we can gain any objective data as to how good they were. Unless someone has a great idea I think we have to exclude them. :-/

We don't have any meaningful baseball statistics for the Negro Players. Players like Ruth, Aaron, Wagner, Mays, etc had 8,000-10,000 plate appearances. We don't have that kind of data for the Negro Leaguers. Even the stats we do have from the offical Negro Leagues is lacking. Negro League seasons were quite short compared to major league seasons.

Question:

Once we get 20 guys, did we set a date for this shindig to happen? I'd love to know when to prepare for.

I think we're shooting for Nov. 1st, although it's not set in stone as of yet.
