It's one thing if Schilling's numbers were comparable to Santana's outside of W-L, but Santana has a huge edge in the categories he leads, such as ERA, WHIP, OBA, and Ks. He's been so dominant that he deserves the Cy Young. Hell, the guy is giving up 2 or 3 baserunners total many of his starts. He's been literally unhittable. Schilling's been great too, but you can not say he's been unhittable. You gotta reward the guy for such amazing stats. Santana hands down

I should also point out that despite the huge lead in Ks, Schilling is leading in K/BB.

Schill: 6.32 (28 BB)
Santana: 4.9 (49 walks, even more than Washburn)

I know, I know. I'm reaching. But Schillings walks are Super-human, a la Radke.
I'm back. Sorta.

Good point about his control, but Santana doesn't walk a lot of guys either. It's just that Schilling has such great BB numbers that it makes everyone elses pale in comparison. However, I do think there's a greater difference in the .OBA with Santana in the 190s and Schilling in the 240s than the K/BB ratio

Not that they'd get any votes, but I think Radke and Pedro deserve to be on here if Schilling and Mulder are. Mo I see as the designated RP to be on the list but who really doesn't have a shot. IMO Radke and Pedro are #2 and #3 on the CY list. But all that matters is #1. Can't believe it's 17-0-0-0 though 8-o

Wow, apparently Curt Schilling not only visits Red Sox websites, he visits the FBC too. I guess he voted for himself. It's the only possibility :-D
