Groin pull now. Add that to the achilles, and sore wrist. Not in today's line-up.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems Nomar is turning/has tunred into one of those players with incredible talent, but wastes it all. I realize some of it's out of his control, but if I was a Red Sox fan I'd be glad they got rid of him, and I feel sorry for the Cubbies. Just my thoughts on the matter. :*)

We are. Thanks for the memories, Nomah...but this is a clearly happier and better team without him. Oh, and they're WAY better defensively.

It's absolutely amazing how much better the Sox are without Nomar. Looking forward to the series this weekend.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

KFFL: Nomar

The news just keeps getting better.....great:

Cubs | Garciaparra Might Be Out Longer - from http://www.KFFL.com
Mon, 13 Sep 2004 01:48:45 -0700

Updating a previous item, The Chicago Tribune reports Chicago Cubs SS Nomar Garciaparra (groin) might be sidelined or hampered for the remainder of the regular season by his groin injuries. The team originally thought he'd be sidelined a few days, but the more grim diagnosis came after an MRI taken Sunday, Sept. 12.
Blessed are the cheesemakers.
