The last 2 games he has 1 win and 4 strikeouts. He came in last night in the 9th and struck out all 3 batters. This guy is a good pitcher. He has had arm problems in the past but he is fine this year. Now that the weather is getting warmer, he is only going to get better. When you have had arm problems, it is tough to pitch in cold weather. Keep and eye on him and pick him up. You will be happy that you did!!

I have no use for him. He doesn't get any saves and he pitches in the Boston bullpen, which makes me not want him. Plus I don't need him regarding my team....

C Mike lieberthal (C-Phi)
1B John Olerud (1B-Sea)
2B Craig Biggio (2B-Hou)
SS Omar Vizquel (SS-Cle)
3B Eric Hinske (3B-Tor)
OF Chipper Jones (LF-Atl)
OF Andruw Jones (CF-Atl)
OF Gary Sheffield (RF-Atl)
Util Austin Kearns (RF-Cin)
Bench Aubrey Huff (1B,DH-TB)
Bench Joe Crede (3B-CWS)
Bench Dave Roberts (CF-LA)
DL Brian Giles (LF-Pit)

SP Pedro Martinez (SP-Bos)
SP Mark Mulder (SP-Oak)
RP John Smoltz (RP-Atl)
RP Mike Williams (RP-Pit)
P Freddy Garcia (SP-Sea)
P A.J. Burnett (SP-Fla)
P Josh Beckett (SP-Fla)
Bench Byung-Hyun Kim (RP-Ari)
Bench Esteban Loaiza (SP-CWS)

I also have a waiver claim on Billy Koch (RP-CWS) for Dave Roberts (CF-LA). Let's see what happens.....I traded for Brian Giles. I shipped Vernon Wells to my opponent for him. I know it was a gamble, but I think once Giles is back he'll outperform Wells bigtime.

relax guys, even in a competitive league you will find people jumping the gun and release good players off to slow starts

Yeah!! Mike Sweeney just got waived in my league this morning.

Not to mention, Troy Percival 2 days ago.

Some managers have no patience what so ever.

Can it be fun if people are dropping some of the best players just because they're in a slump?

In Yahoo Plus leagues, there's a can't cut list, where the top players cannot be dropped from a team, even if they're on the DL. The list is constantly updated, so guys that would be up there, but are out for the year, are removed and replaced with the next best thing. Kind of like making the league idiot proof.

The only things is that the Can't Cut List only includes the obvious players. Guy like Juan Gonzalez and such who definitely make a difference aren't on the list.
The odds of the AL MVP coming from the American League are looking pretty good.
