Sheffield at 3rd?

Postby Blip55 » Mon Aug 16, 2004 6:05 pm

Somebody in my league is playing Sheffield at 3rd. Has he played that position this year? I don't think so but perhaps a Yankee fan could tell me...

Sheffield has indeed played 1 game at 3B this year... in the Yanks/Sox game where Jeter went diving into the stands, A-Rod moved over to SS and Sheff came in to play 3B for an inning or two.

If those couple innings are enough to qualify him for 3B in you league... all I can say is WOW!

'Gary Sheffield is going to ask team doctors today if he can get three cortisone shots in his shoulder -- one each in the front, top, and back.
"It hurts in all three places," Sheffield said. "That's a lot, though. I don't know if anyone's gotten three shots before."
