Coors Field Strategy for the Postseason

Postby LCBOY » Mon Aug 16, 2004 2:56 pm

A few months ago I remember reading a post about picking up players playing in Coors Field during the playoffs. How many people has used this stategy and what was the outcome? I checked the schedule and from 9/7 to 9/26 the Rockies have 15 home games!

09/07-09/08---SF (2 games)
09/09-09/12---SD (4)
09/17-09/19---LA (3)
09/21-09/23---AZ (3)
09/24-09/26---StL (3)

I'd like to hear some of the specific strategies used. ;-D

Yeah, how did StL get a trip to Coors Field at the end of September? I have Rentaria, also.

It mostly depends on which Colorado players are available in your league. Players such as Holliday, Johnson, Clayton might gain some added value if you aren't real solid at those positions. There might be some spot position starters you can grab from the visiting teams, but their value won't increase as much as the Colorado players.

Well has anyone had sucess in years past with this strategy? :-?

Seems a bit flawed to me.

I don't think I'd rely on it, but if the stars line up and you've got players at Coors at the right time, it can't hurt...right?

Well, the theory is sound, but it's probably hard to add half a dozen Rockies to your roster at this point... :-D

Was that what you meant by flawed?
