Pick Up BJ Ryan Now!

The Orioles are listening to trade offers for closer Jorge Julio.
Although it doesn't neccessarly mean they are going to trade the 25-year-old righthander, if Baltimore can get a reliable starting pitcher in return, they will move Julio and install B.J.Ryan as their closer. Jul. 23 - 6:15 am et

I've had him all year because holds count in my league.

Yeh, I missed the boat on him 6 weeks ago when he was picked up, I knew he had potential and now he might get the opportunity to be a nice sleeper closer.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

The Oriloles have also been listening to trade offers for B.J. Ryan. Last I heard was that Atlanta seemed very interested in acquiring him.

I agree, I think Ryan would be MUCH more desirable to teams looking for a left-handed setup/situational reliever than Julio. I'd be surprised if Julio is desired by anyone honestly, especially with his contract situation.

That is interesting because Julio started his career in Atlanta.

I think BJ could make a very effective closer, he certainly has the stuff. But in time we shall see if he has the closer mentality needed to collect saves.
