Had a pretty good outing today and I have an empty spot on my bench....is anyone else picking this guy up and if so what can we expect out of him going forward?

A solid ERA is about it. I doesn't K alot and he plays for the expos so not many wins. His ERA is a bit high now because he gave up eight runs in the first inning in his last start before heading to the DL

That 8 run start in 1.1 innings was devastating.

Before that, i had him on my team. He had like 11 of 13 starts under 2ER or 3ER for a while.

Good talent, but he doesn't K a lot and he doesn't win a lot. I'm not going to pick him back up.

Mediocre fantasy option. Day is not a bad pitcher, but he's on a terrible team. And, while he's generally a pretty reliable guy, when he's off, he's WAY off. Plus he's below average in K's.

Echoing what everyone else said, he's not terrible, usually. But there are too many other good options right now for me to pick him up. I'd look at El Duque, Harang, Arroyo, Bedard, S. Burnett, Kip Wells, or even Hampton over Day at this point.

thanks for the feedback guys, I think I agree after looking at Day's painfully average numbers that he is nothing special fantasy-wise.
