From the Houston Chronicle:

Jeff Kent, who suffered a strained right hamstring Tuesday, was out of the lineup for a second consecutive game. Kent took batting practice Thursday and cited some improvement.

"To me, (Kent's) got to be able to run the bases (before he plays again)," manager Jimy Williams said. "That's what we had Adam (Everett) do. I don't know the severity of his injury."

Astros officials are hopeful Kent won't need to go on the disabled list, but they haven't ruled it out.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Thanks. Sounds like another night with Durham for me.

Rotoworld is saying that Hunsicker will make the decision today whether or not to put him on the DL. Doesn't sound terrific to me.

2nd base is really shallow this year, more so than even before due to injuries or bad performances (Boone, Giles, Kent, Vidro). Seems the 2 best for fantasy are both in Texas, Young and Soriano.
