Closer Question (Help appriciated!)

Postby Guest » Tue Apr 08, 2003 2:13 pm

Hey all, presently I am in a 12 team mixed league and I am definitely hurting for closers. Right now I have Koch, Villefuerte and Matt Anderson as my closers. The waiver wire is cubbard bare.

Thinking that I might end up near the bottom of saves regardless, Am I better off trying to package Koch with someone else to get my self a good pitcher or outfielder and hope I can stumble on to some more saves somewhere eventually or should I stand pat.

Thanks!

I have no idea whether you should trade for pitching or outfielders because I don't know what you have. I do know your closers are fine as is. You won't be last in a 12 team league with those guys. If it were my team I would try to pick someone up later when a regular closer gets injured.

do nothing for now...villa' and koch will produce for you and baring injuries other teams may falter so its hard to say you'll finish last. be patient withthe guys you have

i'm not sure of who's on your wire but look for names like...

biddle, who's geting some op. in mont.
german, i think he will step over anderson's role if he continues
fox, i like his chance at stepping up in the messed up committee
carter, worrell, and kline, im sure are long gone...

overall like i said, patience....it aint over...

Ha ha, is that supposed to be a Cub's joke, or an honest mistake? (It's "cupboard bare", not "cubbard bare").

he gotcha on that one, unless it was a joke. If it was a joke it was very clever, but then I would have spelled it CUBboard bare to put a little emphasis on it.
