Assuming they take him out after the 7th, he will have given up 4 er with 2 walks and 27 k's in his last 3 outings spanning 22 innings and going 3-0 in those games. how high does he rank as far as young pitchers like beckett and oswalt and zambrano. he was bad early on but apparently he was tipping his pitches until 3 or 4 games ago and has been sensational since then. so i guess the question would be....

rank these young starters:

oswalt
beckett
santana
zambrano
sheets

and he gave up a home run. granted he also struck out 2 more but i would rather have 7 innings 1 er 10 k's and a nice healthy starter who isnt overworked than 8 innings 2er 12 k's and working a young pitcher very hard to 116 pitches. i can only pray they dont send him out for the 9th.

I'd flip Sheets and Beckett at the bottom
