Stated in another thread that I thought he'd do no better than what Wood did in 2000 after TJ surgery (4.80 ERA and 1.45 WHIP). I think people are fooling themselves if they expect better. Velocity isn't the problem the first year back, but location.

Nice post. I wouldn't start AJ this year at all myself. Guys rushed back before 18 months (AJ 14), haven't fared well. Wood was rushed back and had a high era. In a keeper, sit on AJ. In a non keeper, trade him.

Yep, I'm thinking it's buy low time. I can afford to sit him for a while...he'll come around by the ASB or so.
