Who gets the better end of this trade?

A) Hinske and Olerude
B) Jeremy Giambi and T. Houston (Mil)

I have Hinske and Olerude.

Hi T. It's close, but unless you want to take a gamble, stick with what you have, at least until Giambi is truly assured of an everyday job.

I'd say hold onto to what you've got.

Olerud is consistently underrated as a first baseman. He doesn't hit for corner power but average and rbi's just keep coming. Hinske likely to drop off a bit but still decent.

With Houston and Giambi its classic sell high. If some trades happen in Phill, Giambi will get more time but he will cool off. He has almost as many k's as hits and they'll learn how to pitch him. Even if Houston stays this hot with average he is behind Olerud in hr's and rbis. Johnny plays on a better team and will get more rbi's. Runs too if that matters in your league.
