Alverez Watch!

I know that alot of people, especially on this board, are starting him tonight. I benched the likes of Beckett and Mussina in my H2H matchup for Alverez, so i'm hoping for a good outing...Just thought i'd get a thread goin so we can post his progress, and if anyone by chance is watching the game on TV, they can update us on how he looks.

;-D

You had to go and jinx it didn't you? :-o

Hopefully, the recent trend of bandwagon busts won't continue with Alvarez.

well.. I have both padilla and alvarez so I fully expect an ERA of about 15 and a whip of 7.

Fellow countryman of the Abreu, Wilson Alvarez, has been mighty hot lately. I expect that to stop tonight, seeing how I started him and dropped Cliff Lee, who already won his last start since I dumped him, for him

Damb! I knew I should have benched him.

IF I saw this thread then for sure I wouldn't have started him.

I am expecting him to give up 7ER tonight :-P

Since I am in last place in ERA and WHIP i won't lose points there but I'll never catch up.

WHY did you have to start this thread?

jinxs arn't real, now say it with me. Even if he sucks big time, attribute that to him actually having a bad start.

I'm covering my butt well tonight on Alvarez first start on my team. Just in case, I got Burrell, Abreu, and Thome all in my lineup. So if Alvarez gets shelled, hopefully the stats will from those guys so I make out either way. But in reality, some guy like Utley or Byrd will have 3 RBIs each and my 3 will take 0 fors.

He's got a 3-0 lead in the first, after Beltre's HR.
