I don't know how many of you were fans, but read this, even if you weren't:
The best player on Survivor All-Stars fell one vote short of winning $1 million, finishing second to his new fiancée Am-buh on Sunday night. Despite the fact that he donned a Red Sox cap the entire season, I admit I was pulling for Boston Rob simply because he deserved to win more than any other player in the game (outside of Rupert, of course).
So I started thinking, maybe the whole Curse thing also applies to Survivor. Maybe if Rob had worn a Yankees hat the entire season things would have been different. Think about if for a second (if you don't watch Survivor, you should have skipped to the next section by now)...
Rob lost 4 votes to 3. The Red Sox have lost their last five World Series 4 games to 3, and last year's ALCS 4 games to 3. Rob lost to someone with the initials A.B., the Sox lost because of a home run by someone with the same initials. The deciding vote came from Shii Ann, who resides in New York City. Rob's last name is Mariano - who won Game 7, and is from Panama, where Survivor just took place. If you pull some of the letters out of Amber Brkich's name - you can spell Babe R (a bit of a stretch, but you get the point). Plus, Boston Rob threw out the first pitch at the Yanks-Red Sox game last Labor Day Weekend, and the Sox lost 8-4 - putting them 5½ games back.
