Who's got the best pitching in my league??

Postby Montreal77 » Thu Mar 27, 2003 9:48 am

8-team H2H league, we start 25 players a week. We start 6 starting pitchers, and 3 RP's each week. Below is the scoring system, and 4 of the best pitching staffs in our league. (Ironically none of them have Schilling or Johnson). I've set them up as I would think are their 6 best starts and 3 best releivers. Who's got the best pitching??? What do people think?

Team #1

Halladay, Prior, Nomo, Wolf, Brown, Odalis Perez (SP)
Pettitte, W. Williams, Tomko (SP-Bench)
Wakefield, Rivera, Percival (RP)
Willamson (RP-Bench)

Team #2

Mussina, Morris, Millwood, Hudson, Lawrence, Weaver (SP)
Moyer, Radke, Armas Jr. (SP-Bench)
Wagner, Foulke, Koch (RP)

Team #3

Martinez, Maddux, Clement, Ramon Ortiz, Washburn, Dempster (SP)
Duckworth, O. Hernandez (SP-Bench)
Urbina, Nen, Isringhausen (RP)
Rhodes (RP- Bench)

I also agree but think it could go either way. They are very closely matched depending on health and expectation.

I'd go with 2, 4, 1, 3. I like #2's relief corp.

4,2.....3,1 are not even close.

4 may have an issue when santana wins the starting spot he deserves...

I'd say 2 then 4......

2's relievers are better because one of 4's relief guys is going to be a starter sooner or later, and in the meantime he's long relief.

4's starters are a better group, but when taken as an entire staff, I think #2 takes the crown.....

1 and 3 aren't even close!

Team 4 NO Doubt Better SP and RP Everyday Eddy and Smoltz are good for at least 80 saves And if Sanatana CAN get points as a starter there thats big too
