12 team, 6x6 mixed, keeper league with losses and walks as the two added categories. My roster consists of:

C C. Johnson
1st Helton
2nd Jimenez
SS Eckstein
3rd Glaus
OF Burrell
OF Damon
OF Dye
Util Salmon
Util Wilkerson
Bench Jeremy Giambi
Bench Lawton
Bench Blalock
Bench Teixeira
Bench Marcus Giles
Bench Javy Lopez

SP R. Johnson
SP Mussina
SP Wood
SP R. Franklin
P Smoltz
RP Benitez
RP Sasaki
Bench J. Santana
Bench Benson

My strategy going into the season is to accumulate as many saves as I can and trade a closer for what ever need may arise. Also, I was hoping one of my 3b candidates from Texas produces so I can trade Glaus when he's in one of his hot streaks. Is this sound strategy or should I do something now instead of waiting to see if a solid fourth starter and 2b emerges? Thanks for your input.

I like your thinking, but you may need to find another closer to be in a position to trade saves later ijn the season. You have three excellent closers, but in a league of that size, there will probably be other teams who can compete with you in saves.

I love the idea of both Blalock and Teixeira on one roster. With a bit of luck, Blalock might even be your answer at 2b.

For that fourth starter, I wouldn't make a move just yet. Benson might be just what you're looking for...

Looks like you're in great shape! :-)
