KC shoudl'nt me mentioned in the same breath as Texas/StL/NYY.

For offense, I like NY. Defense, StL. But St. Louis has to be #1 overall.

Rolen is not far behind A-Rod in my books, especially when you factor in defense, Renteria is far better than Jeter, Pujols is better than Giambi, and both don't have a good 2B. So I'm going with St. Louis. Texas has good yougn talent at all 4 positions, but they arent' as good defensively, or even offensively for that matter.

i personally like the Rangers a lot cos they're the only ones with all the slots filled in. then Cardinals- prolly the best defensive midfield that maybe has this year top fantasy 1B and top 2 3B and SS... third- NY.... they wouldve been 2nd but the Cardinals D i think makes them slightly better. i also think that leaving Jeter at SS was more of an attempt to be "politically correct" and please all the fans rather than to be practical.

and of course if you include C then NY blows everyone away...

I don't see how anyone can say the Yanks have an IF as good as the Cards or Texas.

You are obviously not reading the original post of offense + defense.

The Yankees have terrible IF defense.

A-Rod is good.

Jeter is god awful.

Cairo/Wilson are average.

Giambi/Clark - Giambi is terrible and Clark is average.

You're all looking at offense and not the whole picture.

And sadly, they still have a top 3 IF.

A-Rod is good? GOOD??? That's the biggest understatement I've read in a long time. And all the Jeter bashing gets old after a while. We all know that you have to profess your complete hatred of the guy before they give you that shiny Bo Sox fan membership card, but he's a solid, even underrated, DEFENSIVE shortstop and a very good offensive one (excluding this year so far).

Okay, A-Rod is GOD..is that what you want to hear?

Jeter is a defensive SS? A DEFENSIVE SS? :-?

The guy is like Jim Edmonds, you know why he makes those flashy diving plays? Because he takes two steps in the wrong direction when the ball is hit because he has no clue what he's doing.

Show me some stats to back that one up..please. The guy has no range whatsoever.

..and Jeter underrated? Wow that is laughable, try not to be a homer...oh wait...

I said the Yanks had a top 3 IF, calm down.

Not to mention I never said I hated Jeter, I don't hate anyone..even a Yankee.

I said he's a solid defensive ss. I didn't say he should be expecting a gold glove. He's underrated in the sense that his detractors make him out to be much worse defensively than he actually is.

No, you did not. You said the Royals had a better IF.

Pedro wrote:Royals - ( Yes the Royals ) They have a great all around IF

I omit the Yankees because we're talking all around, and Jeter's defense is just plain horrid, and the obvious gaping hole at 2B. The only all good all around player they have in the IF is A-Rod. Feel free to lynch me for leaving them out.

Was just trying to give the Yanks some props..geesh. :-/

I think Jeter had the worst range statistically out of any major league SS last year. If that's solid, than I'd hate to have a bad defensive SS. He's horrible.

Well im not defending him but his range may have suffered last year because he may have been subconsciencely worried about his wrist. Maybe.....
