Yeah it's been called that forever so people just assume it was named after the area or a street near by. But at one point the Cubs were owned by the president of Wrigley, and called it Wrigley field (I think his name was Wrigley as well, so I guess it's after the owner and
a corporate sponsorship). I wonder if Wrigley is paying for the name, or if it has just remained like that since Wrigley owned the team
