There is an argument on whos team is better in my league. My friend thinks team A is godly and will kill everyone else. I think he has room to fall a lot with griffey, a-rod, and sheffield. We play in a 10x10 h2h league. What do you guys think? Is his team much better than mine?

His team-
C- C. Johnson
1B- Sexon
2B- A kennedy
SS- A-rod
3B- Glaus
OF- Sosa
OF- Griffey
OF- Sheffield
Ut-Alex Sanchez
Bench-Carl Everott, Michael young, Karros

Starter- Halliday, Wolf, Lilly, Weaver, Burkett,
relievers- Foulke, Nen, Santana, Willismas, scott stewart and terry adams

My team-

C- Toby Hall
1B- Derek Lee
2B- Durham
SS- Jeter
3B- Rolen
OF- ABreu
OF- Hunter
OF- Preston WIlson
Util- Phelps
Bench- V. Wells, Crede, Cabrera

Starters- Pedro, W. Miller, O. Perez, Beckett, Hampton, Moss
Relievers- Rivera, Baez, Hoffman (IL), F Rodriguez, hawkins.

Thanks for all ideas, I would greatlyappreciate some responses, I dont think his team is unbeatable, or am I just being optimistic. I think mine is actually more well rounded and I feel my starters are much better. Please let me hear your opinions.

Having a look at his team, I would definetly say his batting is better. A-Rod, Griffey, Sosa, Glaus & Sexon are very solid RBI & HR guys. He'll drop Everett after a couple of days (or after he punches a teammate). Your catchers are comparable (Hall has potential, Johnson has Coors). The rest are pretty equal too.

From a pirchign perspective, he will have more saves but your starters are better. Edge to you for winning Wins, Ks, WHIP over his saves & ERA.

Risk factor: Griffey has been having a spectacular spring. If he keeps it up and stays healthy, he could get back to the 50 homer club. If not, he'll be a headache all year. Pedro when healthy is great, when not he'll give you heartburn... Hampton has been rocked all spring so far, Hoffman might be gone for the year (and his career) but is probably worth carying if you can.

I'd say his team is better, but no team is unbeatable. It all comes down to three things:

1) Who gets the worst injuries
2) Who has the biggest down-turn in numbers
3) Who makes the best pickups in season.

IMHO those are the 3 things that will make a championship team among owners of equal ability.
