In Place of Kolb

Postby jaronson » Sun May 02, 2004 11:48 am

I'm going with Bennet for today's game. Everybody else pitched yesterday, Bennet has pretty good minor league numbers (I know, I know) and he would be pitching against his former team, the Pirates.

Doug Davis is starting for the Brewers. He has been doing pretty well his last three starts, but I would bet he will not pitch a complete game.

The Brewers are calling Dan Kolb day-to-day with a strained right hamstring.
Kolb said the injury seemed identical to one that he suffered last season that kept him sidelined for five days. Luis Vizcaino likely will get save chances while Kolb is out, but Dave Burba can't be ruled out.
