I offered an owner a trade of ....

Milton Bradley
Luis Castillo

for

Michael Young
Alex Gonzalez (CHI)

that trade was actually rejected, but he counter offerd........

Michael Young
Alex Gonzalez

for

Milton Bradley
Brian Roberts

I accepted the trade, but the people that I talk to think that I am crazy for wanting him to take the first trade.

I mean, after his 0/15 start, Brian Roberts has been great, now batting .311 despite that slow start. Last year in part time duty he still got more steals than Castillo, which is Castillo's main fantasy value. The Orioles line up is far more explosive than the Marlins' lineup.

I see Roberts having a better year than Castillo, am I crazy?

Its a fair trade, but I wouldnt go as far to say roberts > castillo. Hitting behind pierre wont help his stolen bases, but might bump his rbi's a tad and he will deff have more runs scored and .30 higher average. Hairston will threaten robert's playing time

I've been saying that in many a post and talking about why hairston is a good pickup to stash on a team's DL if you got the space. I believe he's starting his rehab up. I agree that giving roberts the bootskie was a good move. ;-D

The flow knows again!

The thing that really scared me though with castillos stolen bases was looking at how many times he got caught stealing last year 21 succesful theafts in 40 tries, ouch! But so far he's four outta four. Now if only it were something more along the lines of 10/10.......
