Postby WebHamster » Mon Apr 26, 2004 3:01 pm

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Reds third baseman Brandon Larson was activated from the 15-day disabled list and is expected to be available for Monday's game against the Pirates.

Larson had been on the DL since the start of the season because of a strained right great toe.

The 27-year-old Larson played in 32 games for Cincinnati in 2003 and batted just .101 with one homer and nine RBI.

Larson has spent the first three years of his major league career with the Reds and has a lifetime average of .156 with five home runs and 23 runs batted in.

To make room for Larson on the roster, the Reds optioned catcher Corky Miller to Triple-A Louisville of the International League.
