Well, there aren't many players of A-Rod's caliber to begin with but Giambi got off to a similar bad start 2 years ago and still had a pretty good year. I really don't know why people are worried about him. He didn't put up all those numbers in the past by some stroke of luck. I'm sure it's frustrating for people that drafted him #1 but barring death, he will turn it around.
prediction: arods numbers will be respectable but his numbers fantasy-wise will not warrant a number 1 or 2 pick. However, being put in that 4 spot in the yankees lineup will certainly not yield anything near a "down" year for arod, just not 50-140
Well, the longer his slump goes, the more likely his overall numbers are down a little from a typical year for him. But when people talk about trading him, the question I'd have is, can you get someone in return who will have better numbers from tomorrow until the end of the season? Now that gets me thinking.....he's only 3 games away from 3B eligibility. I wonder if I can get the A-Rod owner in my league to bite for Scott Rolen.
