7 keepers required

Postby Elsy » Tue Feb 20, 2018 12:06 am

Need 7 keepers in H2H 5x5 (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG / W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP) -- each player is kept 2 rounds previous to last years draft or latest available round if was a free agent pick up which I have several of that would build my foundation for future years. Will only post the relevant potential keepers(2018 required round):

Kenley Jansen 1st round (not using on a closer)
Dallas Keuchel 4th round
Aroldis Chapman 7th round
Aaron Sanchez 10th round
Mike Moustakas 12th round
Corey Seager 20th round
Gary Sanchez 24th round

The rest are free agent pick ups and would fill in from last round 26 up until I have my 7 total(my option as to where to put them):

Alex Wood
Chase Anderson
Lucas Giolito
Rafael Devers
Justin Bour
Travis Shaw
Zack Godley
Josh Hader
Eloy Jiminez

Pretty sure my 2 locks are Seager and G Sanchez in rounds 20 and 24. Just not sure about the other 5 based on value because I could basically do all 7 keepers in the last 7 rounds and have free reign on who to draft earlier.

C. Segser, G. Sanchez and add in Wood, Anderson, Devers, Shaw and Godley imo. For last round cost, you are not going to get any better.

I'd keep Seager and Sanchez from that group, and then the following:

26th- Devers
25th- Jimenez
24th- Shaw
23rd- Godley
22nd- Wood

Understanding that you'll get little to nothing from Eloy this year, but you just stash him.

You may think I'm nuts saying A Sanchez in the 10th but my hunch is he has a breakout season and will be top 5 contender for AL Cy Young. Has a devastating curve and hard sinker and has looked fantastic so far in camp.

Until he misses 3+ months with a blister or hang nail again. A. Sanchez killed me in one league last year. I would not waste a 10th round pick on him at this point. Top 10 rounds have players that are either known producers or have huge upside imo so there is no reason to pick him in the same area where the other mid-range SPs are going imo. He is more a mid to late teen round pick imo.
