Keep one of these four for 5 years

Postby perhaps40t » Wed Sep 27, 2017 5:21 pm

I'm in a 12x12 roto dynasty prospect contract league. Which one of these three should I sign (extend) to a 5 year contract? The league settings use categories that equate to real life baseball player worth and my team is balanced between hitters and pitchers so the question is simply who will be the best over the next five years with some detriment if they bust (the player cannot be dropped).

Travis Shaw (Mil - 1B/3B)
Rhys Hoskins (Phi - 1B/OF)
Mike Clevinger (Cle - SP)
Luis Castillo (SD - SP)

Thanks!

I think it is 1 of the hitters but it is a tough call from there. Do you have a 3rd basemen in place? Hoskins might have more risk but he would be tempting to hold

I've got a young team that is coming out of a full strip-down and rebuild. I don't have a 3B in place but I've got Senzel coming up soon, no multi-year depth behind him though.

I guess my other options are adding 5 years to either Bryce Harper's 4 years remaining or Carlos Martinez' 1 year remaining, otherwise I will have to extend Martinez next year. Thanks for your input.
