Which Side Wins? WHIR!

Postby detroit126 » Thu Jul 13, 2017 5:17 pm

Hi all, I'm in a 10-team keeper league. Each team selects 5 keepers from year to year without any penalty. Scoring is head-to-head roto with holds and OPS being the 6th categories for pitching and hitting, respectively.

I just traded my Christian Yelich, Johnny Cueto, and Justin Wilson for Aroldis Chapman and David Price. Which side wins?

My roster after the trade is below...

C - JT Realmuto
1B - Jose Abreu
2B - Ian Happ
3B - Kris Bryant
SS - Carlos Correa
MI - Josh Harrison
CI - Miguel Sano
OF - Charlie Blackmon
OF - AJ Pollock
OF - Nomar Mazara
OF - Josh Reddick
U - JD Martinez

Bench Bats - Dexter Fowler, Cameron Maybin

P - Clayton Kershaw
P - Carlos Carrasco
P - Dellin Betances
P - Yu Darvish
P - Jacob deGrom
P - Zach Britton
P - David Price
P - Aroldis Chapman

Bench Arms - Carlos Martinez, Masahiro Tanaka, Kelvin Herrera, Greg Holland, Adam Ottavino

DL spots - Danny Salazar, Keone Kela

Without seeing the other team it's hard to say who truly wins. But I typically go by the rule that whoever got the best player wins the trade. In my opinion Chapman is the best player, therefore I give the victory to you.

Cueto has been pretty bad. Wilson may get traded...Yelich is mediocre...for Chapman who has his own issues now and Price who is over rated. Your guess is as good as mine, but I really would not want any of those guys right about now. That said, the Yankee pitching staff if in total collapse right now so how many saves Chapman would get if he was pitching well would be debateable.
