Trade Jose?

Postby x17jaw17x » Tue Apr 26, 2016 2:42 pm

Should I trade Jose Fernandez and either Jeanmar Gomez or a scrub hitter/pitcher for Rosenthal and Sonny Gray? It's a redraft league so I feel like Gray could potentially be better than Fernandez, plus Rosenthal is a huge upgrade. Should I pull the trigger?

Here's my roster:

C: Yasmani Grandal
1B: Carlos Santana
2B: Dee Gordon
3B: Kris Bryant
SS: Eugenio Suarez
2B/SS: Robinson Cano
1B/3B: Mike Moustakas
OF: Mike Trout, Hunter Pence, Kole Calhoun, Curtis Granderson, Kevin Kiermaier
UTIL: Joe Panik
Be: Logan Forsythe
DL: Ender Inciarte
SP: Jose Fernandez, Noah Syndergaard, Marcus Stroman, Garrett Richards, Fransisco Liriano, Taijuan Walker, Justin Verlander
RP: Craig Kimbrel, Luke Gregerson, Jeanmar Gomez, Dellin Betances

Don't trade for Sonny Gray. Jofer is the truth. You will be sorry.

Jose Fernandez is good even when he's not good. I definitely don't make that deal with one notable exception - if you're in a redraft h2h league and your team is a juggernaut then I'd consider it as I question how much Fernandez will be pitching when the h2h finals roll around. That will depend on how they manage his innings the rest of the season but I'm pretty sure they'd like to have him end around 180ip.
