How's My Team Looking So Far?

Postby x17jaw17x » Sat May 16, 2015 2:47 pm

I'm in a 10-man 5x5 league and I am currently 4-1 but looks like I'll be 4-2 after this week. I just made 3 trades in efforts to get rid of some free agent pick ups (Vogt, Reddick) and decided to trade for closers and another starter. Just wondering on how my new team is looking.

C: Russell Martin
1B: Anthony Rizzo
2B: Howie Kendrick
3B: Josh Donaldson
SS: Jhonny Peralta
2B/SS: Jose Iglesias
1B/3B: Eric Hosmer
OF: Adam Jones, Starling Marte, Christian Yelich, Kole Calhoun, Wil Myers
UTIL: Carlos Santana
SP: Johnny Cueto, Matt Harvey, Julio Teheran, Carlos Carrasco, Michael Pineda, Bartolo Colon, Scott Kazmir, James Paxton
RP: A.J. Ramos, David Robertson, Mark Melancon
Bench: Josh Harrison

Any advice would be great! Thanks!

What were the trades?

Overall you have a good team, but curious to see if Vogt/Reddick made your stronger before hand?

Trade 1: I traded Michael Wacha and Stephen Vogt for David Robertson and Carlos Santana (I felt as though this deal would help me long term because I believe Santana has more upside than Vogt, and Wacha has the innings cap)

Trade 2: I traded Doug Fister and Yunel Escobar for Mark Melancon (Got lucky because Fister went on the DL a day after the trade was accepted)

Trade 3: I traded Josh Reddick for Scott Kazmir straight up (Not much room for Reddick in my outfield and another solid starter)

Santana has a lot of catching up to do, but he should heat up. I like the other deals, solid team!

Yeah thanks appreciate it! Hope the additions of these closers help my team out.
