Got Latos on the bench today after last weeks stellar performance. Anyone taking a chance on him today?

Can't feel bad about missing them in Week 1, but determining which one(s) of these guys are worth owning for the remainder of the year is the difficult part. Vogt needs to get out of his current platoon (or does he?) and he could hold tremendous value. Same with Canha. If he gets AB, who knows; though if he continues to hit like that it'll be real difficult to not give him ABs. Moustakas is maybe realizing his potential and going to have the breakout year we've been waiting for, for what feels like forever? Maybe he and Hosmer can do it together?? Iglesias, should he work his way from the 9-hole to leadoff, would carry massive uptick in value. As it is that lineup has scored so much, he could continue to be very valuable batting 9th, despite the loss of PA. It's good to see him running. Same goes for Gose, who just needs to continue to find his way on base. If he does that, his value skyrockets, cause the steals can come in Billy Hamilton-like bunches. Kiermaier is the most interesting to me. He's batting leadoff in a real bad lineup, but he's still batting leadoff, which bodes well for Run scoring potential, even in the most abysmal of lineups. Does he project to bat leadoff for the duration of the season??

Gose leading off for Detroit again today. If he only cedes playing time to Davis once a week, he could put up gaudy Run and SB totals. Iglesias batting 8th, because of Interleague Play.

I'm loving Cain right now. Hitting in the 3-spot in a decent lineup gives him huge value.

As for predictions, I'm now 0-3-1 (we're calling that Haren prediction a push since he didn't get the win and only had 2k's when I predicted 5 in 6ip but other than that I was right for a change). So you're still good to bet against anything I say. ;)

To make up for the weekend, you get TWO stone cold locks today! Both are stacker's dreams for daily:

1) It may only be April 13th but it's (pummel) May Day today! Trevor May put up a 7.88 era/ 1.77 whip/7hr in 45.2ip line last year, was slated for AAA this year, and forced into the rotation by an injury. He faces a fairly hot KC lineup with the wind blowing out today at 21mph. The only hard question for me was Hosmer or Morales against him and I went with Morales due to Hosmer's ground ball tendencies.
2) Rubby De La Rosa may grow up to be a really good pitcher but so far in his career he's either been mediocre or bad. He faces a rejuvenated San Diego lineup that should knock him around the yard all night.

Also for my money I would've taken DJ LeMahieu at 2B, .480, 2 R, 0 HR, 5 RBI, 1 SB in Week 1. Crikey. :-°

He's another guy, though, who I wonder if will be hampered by batting 8th in an NL lineup, or if he can work his way up towards the top of the lineup.

Should have picked on Harang again but I didn't have it in me to make fun of him all year. :)

Lol...Harang continues with the smoke and mirrors today. Outstanding. :)

And May comes in and goes 1-2-3 with a strikeout in the first inning. There's -0.75 in short order for my FanDuel daily roster. :P

The problem with Iglesias is that he doesn't have power and he didn't steal bases 2 years when he was healthy. I picked him up in my deep pts league but that combo kind of makes him worthless in roto especially since it looks like he will bat 8th/9th. The only value he has is if he can somehow hit .300 again but that's an empty .300.

Vogt is an awesome get if you have the ability to roster 2 C's and only play one. I got almost elite production out of norris/jaso last year. Vogt will get a lot of AB's only against RHB's and should be very effective. This is Billy's new market inefficiency. Platooning catchers offensively. He did it with Norris and Jaso and now he will do it with Vogt and Phegley. He is almost going against the new trend of advanced catcher framing stats and saying that it doesn't matter and that the catcher-starter relationship doesn't matter.

I put the over under on Gose's BA at .235. I don't want anything to do with that.
