If you are looking for RBI, go with Matsui.

If you are looking for HRs, go with Gibbons.

Otherwise, probably similar numbers with a slight edge in runs to Matsui.

Overall, I'd take Gibbons. The RBI and run difference isn't likely to be so great that it will trump the 10+ difference in HRs. And Gibbons has an outside shot at hitting more RBI than Matsui.

I'd take matsui, i feel that gibbons has shown us what his numbers can and will be where as matsui was adjusting in the beggining of the year and i think that he has a legitimate shot at 25 homers playing in the leftfield porch known as yankee stadium, plus if your league counts runs scored as it probably does, he'll get driven in a million times by the so far anemic but soon to break out yankee offense.
