kearns didn't exactly come out of nowhere, people. he was voted co-prospect of the year with pujols, for crying out loud. in 2002, through 372 abs he hit .315 with 13hr, 6sb, 56 rbi and 66r. he also hit 24 doubles, which translated to an even higher hr rate in 2003 (after adding 15 lbs).
he got hurt--after tearing it up for a couple months--spent the winter rehabbing and is healthy, now.
dunn freely admits that kearns is the best hitter on the team. this season will bear that out. ok, now i'm done. i have real work to do, now!
