Cardinals' Cedeno placed on disabled list

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Cardinals Sunday placed outfielder Roger Cedeno on the 15-day disabled list with a strained hamstring.

Cedeno had been bothered by the injury and aggravated it during Saturday's 10-2 victory over Arizona.

The Cardinals acquired the 29-year-old Cedeno from the New York Mets earlier this month in exchange for catcher Chris Widger and infielder Wilson Delgado.

Cedeno has played three games this season and is hitless in five at-bats. He batted .267 with 70 runs scored, 25 doubles and 14 stolen bases in 148 contests last year for the Mets.

Meanwhile, the club recalled infielder Bo Hart from Triple-A Memphis of the Pacific Coast League.
