With the type of season Fister has had, I wouldn't give him a short leash. I'd give him a start or two more. With that said, Duffy might be your safest bet. I'd rather go low risk at this point in time of the season. I know it's not as exciting as some of the other options, but I wouldn't trust a rookie or someone coming back from injury. I doubt your third starter will impact your playoff performance that much.

I like Fister. I think he deserves 1 more start. If you need to move him, I'd grab Ryu, Friers, Cashner, Duffy in that order.
Thanks

Fister has been pretty solid all year and even his last 3 starts were not horrible (6 IP 4 ER/5 IP 3ER types). Probably would stick with him.

That said, Ryu should not be a FA even in a shallow league. If you have a bench or streamer spot, he would be a good pickup.

Thanks for your comments on my thread.

Before dropping Fister - - or any SP in the playoffs - - check to see what kind of match up he's going to have for his next start. If he's starting at Toronto that's not so good but if he's starting at Sam Diego you'd maybe want to hold on to him to take advantage of the good matchup/park.
