I am currently 3rd in a 14 team Keeper league (we keep ANY 7 players).
I've been offered Jay Bruce and Jonathan Papelbon for Polanco. The other owner is giving up and targeting young assets, like Polanco, to build around for next year.
Here are my thoughts. I do this trade IF 1.) Jay Bruce is better ROS than Polanco AND 2) Papelbon continues to contribute in saves.
So my question is should i do this trade? Am i approaching it the right way?
Here is my current roster:
C Tyler Flowers - weakest position by far. currently trying to improve it haha
1B Miguel Cabrear
2B Jason Kipnis
3B Evan Longoria
SS Ian Desmond
LF Alex Gordon
CF Billy Hamilton
RF Gregory Polanco
OF Matt Holiday
OF Brandon Moss
U - Jose Altuve
U - Adrian Gonzalez
DL - George Springer
P - Gio Gonzalez
P - Madison BumGarner
P - Doug Fister
RP - Trevor Rosenthal
RP - Greg Holland
P - Alex Wood
P - Mike Minor
P - Geritt Cole
P - Jesse Hahn - (stream this position)
P - Roenis Elias (streaming)
DL - Michael Wacha
Thanks for the help and i WHIR!!!

Not my favourite deal. Pap cleared waivers but I am not convinced he's moved and loses closer gig. Still, I believe Polanco can bring you Bruce+ value ROS. I see the enticing aspect. That said it's tempting (if you knew things would fall in place). I'm holding.
Help me land Tulo!

I wouldn't do this. I don't think Bruce will be much better than Polanco ROS, or even better at all. Good start, but he aboslutely collapsed this year. I think you can get more value in a keeper for a future stud like Polanco. Would consider this more if you were getting a better closer than Papelbon.
