Yeah, he's been kinda alright. Basically he's been a Bumgarner/Hamels clone for the past calendar year. Amazingly, Henderson Alvarez is also right in with the same group, albeit with a much lower K/9. Most of it is due to Petco (2.08 home ERA vs 3.82 road ERA) but for fantasy, all that matters is the overall number. And xFIP backs it up as not being a fluke.

Right, I forgot to put this year's GB rate - 58.1% !

Glad there are some other Ross fans out there. I took him in the 17th round this year.

Yeah, where is his run support going to come from?

I own Tyson in one of my leagues. He's good, but his lack of run support, high walk rate, and home/away splits, limits his upside somwhat.

The 30th walk rate in the MLB isn't great, but when you have the 3rd highest GB%, you're going to get a lot of DPs. He's also 19th in K/9 so he gets out of a lot of trouble that way as well. The splits aren't great but a 4.00 era on the road isn't going to kill you. Run support sucks but that's just something you'll have to live with for the time being. It's enough to keep him out of the top 10-15, but he's justifiably into the top 25 at this point.
