I don't think that is quite on this list, but the cash strapped Twins gave 8 years, $184 million to a first-baseman that can't hit more than 15 home runs.

Please.

1. Arod...waste of food all round. Overpaid, non-playoff performer, ped fraud, clubhouse jerk.
2. Helton (paid big bucks post "back injury")
3. Chan Ho Park
4. Zito
5. Bay
6. Carl "Buttocks injury" Pavano
7. Kei Igawa

Not quite their yet, but others of note:
1. Pujols
2. Hamilton
3. Tex
4. Sabathia
5. Howard

It's a funny one to laugh at, but if this is true:
Only about an 8 percent return would have been needed to pay Bonilla his $1.2 million a year from 2011 to 2035. The Mets did the math and figured they'd be able to turn a $60-70 million profit on the arrangement.

I'm okay with it, and would pay him til 2135 to have not signed the Bay deal.

Mauer is one of the greatest hitters of our time. Nobody seemed to care that Wade Boggs didn't hit homers.
