According to Naver Sports, the SK Wyverns have accepted the Padres' $2 million bid for LHP Kwang-Hyun Kim.

With his frame, delivery, and velocity potential I actually think Kim will be better than a bottom of the rotation guy/early bullpen guy if he improves his location and stays healthy especially in San Diego.

Veteran Japanese shortstop Takashi Toritani, who has a reputation as a slick fielder but a more limited hitter (though he hit .314 this year), also is expected to try to get to MLB this offseason.

It looks like you are a one man fantasy cafe BChad.

Moncada to the Red Sox wasn't really a jaw dropper. Nor was it a surprising amount of money. The Red Sox was one of the teams already in the penalty for exceeding that year's int'l spending limit so they weren't further penalized (aside from the luxury tax). And that number was the one that I had seen for months.
